Tambi, crab, sauerkraut, mandazi fritters, sausage, pilau. I’ve heard that sea sauerkraut is a real delicacy. This is how I imagine it : shucked crab on a bed of sauerkraut and sausage. It’s nothing I like in terms of food, and yet I love food.
I went back into my film archives and selected these two images.
The textures blend together and the plates fits perfectly. Food speaks to a lot of people and imaginary, invented, recomposed dishes have always given me a gut feeling.
I think they call it hunger.

As part of the 2023 edition of the Constellations International Festival in Metz, and in partnership with ESAL, I had the opportunity to exhibit one of my photographs, alongside 8 fellow students and my photography teacher, Cyrielle Lévêque (whom I’d like to thank again!).
All along the town’s ramparts, as part of the Art and Garden trail, 10 images on the theme of “hybridisation” were on display.
